Meet Gerry

Gerry Fallon BA Hons Ind. Rels., M.Sc. HR, Dip. Conflict, CEDR Med.

Gerry has held HR management and senior management roles for over 20 years in not-for-profit and public sector organisations. These organisations have had significant partnering with Community Employment Projects, and he would have worked closely with the Scheme Supervisors in a mentoring and advisory capacity. In his last employment, Gerry was the CE Scheme Sponsor. Gerry is a CEDR Mediator and a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development.

He holds a BA Hons in Industrial Relations and Human Resources, an M.Sc. in Human Resource Strategies from Dublin City University and a post graduate Diploma in Conflict and Dispute Resolution from Trinity College Dublin.

In his management roles he has led out on significant human resources strategic, operational and change initiatives including competency-based recruitment and selection models, performance achievement systems, conflict resolution and the standardisation of staff related management practices.

He has extensive experience of engaging with Community Employment Schemes by mentoring and advising CE Supervisors in terms of deploying soft and hard management practices within the CE environment to ensure that the training ethos of CE projects is not compromised.

At community voluntary level, Gerry was a member of the Group Board of St. Michael's House for two years and is currently the Vice Chair of the Board of Finglas Addiction Support Team (FAST). As a member of the FAST HR Board Committee, he provides mentoring, guidance and support to the members of the executive team including the CEO.

Meet TerrySue

TerrySue Cosgrove BBS, M.Sc. Healthcare, Adv. Dip. Law

TerriSue is an internationally experienced HR Consultant and Employment Law Specialist. She is a seasoned HR professional, executive coach and leadership trainer with extensive experience in both national and international settings. She brings over 25 years of hands-on leadership expertise, as a seasoned professional with extensive expertise in HR, training, and cross-cultural business relations, both internationally and in Ireland.

TerriSue spent five years in the United Arab Emirates, where she founded Abu Dhabi Connect, a pioneering platform that united HR managers. This initiative enabled knowledge-sharing and collaboration among HR professionals navigating the complexities of UAE employment law. During her tenure in the UAE, TerriSue also served on the board of the Irish Business Council, where she played a key role in facilitating trade missions that connected members of the Abu Dhabi Business Council with Ireland.

She is a current Board Member for Threshold Training (thresholdtraining.ie), an organisation renowned for its educational and training programs, including mental health recovery workshops. Threshold Training emphasises sustainable pathways to employment and adheres to best practices to support students effectively.

These training programs are grounded in the belief that training and learning can significantly enhance an individual’s potential for recovery and future exploration. This exceptional service and training is funded by the Education & Training Board.

In her previous role as Head of HR for a government hospital, TerriSue completed training as a Mental Health First Aid Responder at Trinity College. She also represented the National Hospital Group in negotiations with the Department of Health and the HSE through IBEC, gaining extensive experience in managing public service agreements, pay restorations, and interactions with multiple union bodies. As the former Head of HR at an Irish teaching hospital during the pandemic, she successfully implemented leadership programmes that empowered managers to effectively lead their teams. Her career includes multiple international roles in progressive organisations such as universities, Google, and international hospitals.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Limerick, as well as an M.Sc. in Healthcare Leadership from the Royal College of Surgeons. She also has an Advanced Diploma in Applied Employment Law and a Professional Practice Certificate in Training & Development from the Irish Institute of Training and Development.
